Pedestrian Rail Bridges
Our temporary pedestrian bridges offer easy access to platforms for passengers during times of repair and refurbishment and ensure it is business as usual for the railway station and its employees.
Our unique bridge design, which receives consistent positive feedback, means that we often don’t require complex foundations and we can usually complete installation within six hours.
Because of this, we have a long and successful history of providing temporary pedestrian bridges up and down the UK for the rail network. We understand the need for minimal disruption for rail passengers and it’s our job to help you reach a solution quickly so that impact is minimised.
Stations, railway lines and diversions
Additionally we can supply temporary bridges to allow pedestrians to safely cross a railway line and we have years of experience erecting bridges that can be used to temporarily divert services and provide working platforms that sit along the outside of the bridge.
We are proud to provide a range of bridges that fit our client’s requirements and find solutions that solve problems, no matter how complex they might be.
Safety
We take our commitment to safety very seriously. Mitchell Bridges is a CHAS compliant, RISQS registered company (5*) with PTS qualified installation engineers. Our bridges are independently inspected at the time of assembly and monitored by us throughout their placement so that we maintain the highest level of confidence in our bridges.
We liaise with all the relevant parties to ensure that the correct approvals are obtained for installation, the correct equipment is used and certified. We will also assess your site for access so that everything runs smoothly on the day of installation.
